NIPPON NF-56 RG6 Coax Cable Twist-on F Connector
This is plated with an anti-corrosive finish, Commercial Grade and Quality. This male F connector is a Twist-on type of coaxial connector, requiring cable preparation, but no special Crimp or Compression tools to apply on RG6/U cable. The F connector is a type of coaxial RF connector commonly used for "over the air" terrestrial Antenna television, Cable TV and universally for Satellite television and cable modems, usually with RG6/U cable or, in older installations, with RG59/U cable, but is also used for transport of IF (Intermediate Frequencies) between pieces of equipment.

Note: Homeowners will use this connector to easily and quickly terminate properly prepared RG6 coaxial cable jumper ends without the need for crimp or compression tools.

An adapter (or adaptor) is a device used to match the physical or electrical characteristics of two different Connectors so that a connection may be made between them and the Equipment You desire to Cross-Connect. Most Connections for Video and RF (Radio Frequency) Equipment is 75 Ohm in Characteristic Impedance. Radio and Microwave Frequency Connections Passing High Power Require 50 Ohms. A Majority of the Adapters offered Here are 75 Ohm. However, with the High Quality Dialectric Found Surrounding the Interior of the Mating Connection, Low Power Usage, and Transition Impedance Matching of Like Characteristic Impedances, Resulting Mis-match of 50 Ohm use woiuld be so Low as to be Considered Negligible.
